Student D-Group

Teen D-Groups are small, intentional groups where students come together to grow deeper in their faith, build strong friendships, and learn how to live out God’s Word in everyday life.

In these groups, students:
* Dive into Scripture and discussion led by trusted adult mentors
 * Talk honestly about real-life challenges like school, friendships, and faith
* Encourage and pray for one another
* Learn what it means to be a disciple of Jesus in today’s world

D-Groups are a safe space to ask questions, be yourself, and grow closer to Christ and each other. Whether you’ve been in church your whole life or are just starting your journey, there's a place for you.

Bruce Ingram

Leader of Student D-Group

Bruce has been a member of Oakland Baptist Church since 2015. He began teaching school in 1986 at Walnut and Falkner Schools in Tippah County, later moving to Alcorn County in 2002. In 2006, he joined Itawamba Community College, where he currently teaches Western Civilization and U.S. History.

Bruce earned his Ph.D. in History from the University of Mississippi. As a bi-vocational pastor, Bruce most recently served at Tishomingo Chapel Baptist, after spending 19+ wonderful years at Chalybeate Baptist Church in Tippah County.

Married to Darlene Sweeney Ingram since 1984, Bruce is blessed with three children—Danielle Brown, Case Ingram, and Elizabeth Ingram—and seven grandchildren.
