9th & 10th Grade girls

Get Connected. Go Deeper.

We want to provide an opportunity for all students to get connected and have a community of fellow believers. On Sunday mornings, we offer a time for students to dig in deeper to God's word. Starting at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings, students will be able to hear an overview of the week's lesson from Bro. Brad. After that, students will break off into groups based on their age and gender, led by two of our Student team leaders. 9th & 10th Grade girls will be in room S-105. On the 2nd Sunday night of each month at 6 p.m., 9th & 10th graders will have the opportunity to meet in the Student Building for a time of fun and discipleship (*TEMPORARILY PAUSED*). On Wednesday nights at 6 p.m., middle school and high school students will join for a time of worship and hear a message from Bro. Brad. Doors open at 5 p.m. for a time of hanging out in the student building.

Meet the 9th & 10th Grade Girls Bible Study Leaders

Lisa Smith

Mrs. Lisa has been teaching Sunday school for our student ministry for 6 years!
"I was raised attending church. We attended Sunday School as well as the preaching services every week unless we were sick or out of town. I had heard Bible stories all my life and had memorized the books of the Bible. I never felt at peace with my life. I was living a works-based life. I was depending on my church attendance and the fact that I had been baptized as a teen as the way I though life should be. There were many highs and lows. I would feel close to God, and then far away, depending on what I was doing in my life. It wasn’t until someone asked me specifically, “If you were to die today, do you know for certain that you will go to heaven?” This helped me realize I was not saved. I was 25 years old, and I truly thought I was until that time. My life flashed through my mind. I had been involved in a horrible car accident as a teen, and the fact I survived was a miracle. I had been THAT CLOSE to spending eternity in hell. I’m sure there were many more times than that, but God had allowed me to live for a reason. I feel there are so many people that share similar experiences of growing up in the “Bible belt” that don’t even realize they are not saved. They believe that there is a Jesus and know a lot of stories about Him but have not put their trust in Him for salvation. I feel that one way God uses me is though sharing the experiences in my life  (both good and bad) to witness to people and share Jesus’s love."

Susan Holt

This is Mrs. Susan's second year as a Bible Study teacher in our ministry!
"The OBC youth program is very important to me.  I was saved during VBS, the summer before the sixth grade.  My church youth group and leaders had a tremendous effect on me as a young, newbie Christian.  Their examples helped me to build the foundation for my spiritual growth.   I pray that I also will be used by God to guide the youth of OBC to build a strong foundation for their growth in Christ." -Mrs. Susan Holt
